If you're reading this you are probably already familiar with the OneLapCamaro. We've created this blog as a test of sorts to see how we can best share our experiences in testing and racing on the web. I hope that by the time we run in the One Lap of America in April of 2010 that we will have 'dialed in' this blog as well as the car. We're on our way to the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational!

In just under a week the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational presented by Ridetech and K&N will be held at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, NV and we are officially on our way!  Dave and Mary loaded the cars up late last night and are making the trek to Las Vegas right now.

But the news isn't all good - we found a couple of issues with the OneLapCamaro yesterday that could give us some trouble in Pahrump... the clutch seems to be slipping in third and fourth gear and the power steering is acting up (definately puzzling considering the car has sat since the Silver State Classic Challenge in September - Dave thinks its haunted).  Regardless - we are going to give it everything we've got next Saturday!  Hopefully the clutch holds together for one more day and we can have some fun - we'll see in a week!
